A Toast to the Artist – april 24, 2023
Our annual gala is a celebration of transformative and captivating work in the theatre with cocktails, conversation, dinner and inspiring performances. We will honor notable theatre artists whose contributions to the American canon have been singular and immense. Broadway stars join our gala evenings, giving performances to remember!
This year’s gala was an evening of celebrating some of TG’s brightest luminaries! The gala featured a cocktail party, seated dinner, performances, dessert reception, bidding on silent and live auctions, and more–all raising funds toward transporting audiences with live theatre.
This year we honored Barbara Andres, Donna Lynne Champlin, Michele Pawk, and Mary Testa!
From Jack Cummings III: “It is an absolute honor to acknowledge the immeasurable contributions of Barbara Andres, Donna Lynne Champlin, Michele Pawk, and Mary Testa, who have been there for us from the beginning, I’ve known each of these women since before I began Transport Group in 2002, and they have inspired me for decades. Transport Group was put on the map by titans of the theatre taking a chance on a new company. It is only through the generosity of immensely talented, revered artists like Barbara, Donna Lynne, Michele, and Mary, and their adventurous spirit to say ‘yes’ to wild ideas, that allows Transport Group to flourish, and I can’t wait to say ‘thank you.’”
